SOFT CHOCOLATE COOKIES 
2 c. Crisco
3 1/2 c. sugar
2 c. cottage cheese (sm. curd)
4 eggs
4 tsp. vanilla
5 1/2 c. flour
1 c. cocoa
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
2 (12 oz.) pkgs. chocolate chips
1 c. chopped nuts

Mix Crisco and sugar. Add eggs, cottage cheese and vanilla. Beat well. Sift dry ingredients and add to above mixture. Mix well. Add nuts and chocolate chips.

Refrigerate dough overnight. Make into 1 inch balls and roll in powdered sugar. Do not grease cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees. Makes 100 and they freeze well.
