AUNT CARLA'S SOFT CHOCOLATE CHIP
COOKIES
 
1 1/2 c. Crisco shortening
2 c. light brown sugar, packed
1 c. granulated sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs
4 1/2 c. flour, unsifted
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. salt
2 c. chocolate chips (12 oz.)

Cream shortening, brown sugar, sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy on medium speed. Add eggs; beat well. Combine flour, baking soda and salt; add to creamed mixture. Mix by hand. Stir in chips. Drop by tablespoon onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
