1 c. butter
1/4 c. creamy peanut butter
1/2 c. corn syrup
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. unsifted flour

In large bowl with mixer at medium speed beat together first 5 ingredients until well mixed. At low speed gradually beat in flour until well blended. Cover; chill 1 hour or until easy to handle. to form letters, roll dough into 1 1/2" balls; then roll on smooth surface into rope 8" long. Shape roll into desired letter directly on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Makes about 26 cookies.
