SWEDISH KRINGLER 
CRUST:

1 c. flour
1/2 c. butter
1 tbsp. water

FILLING:

1 c. water
1/2 c. butter
1 c. flour
3 eggs
1 tsp. almond extract

ICING:

1 c. powdered sugar
1 tbsp. cream
1 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. almond extract

Mix crust ingredients as for pie crust. Pat on ungreased cookie sheet in two long strips 3 inches wide. For filling, place water and butter in saucepan. Heat to boiling point. Remove from heat and add flour. Stir until smooth. Beat in eggs, one at a time, beating until smooth after each addition. Add almond extract. Spread lightly on crusts. Bake in moderate oven (350 degrees) for 55 to 60 minutes.

FOR ICING: Cream ingredients together. Frost when cool. Makes 2 kringler
