NORTH TRAVIS COUNTY MARINATED
VEGETABLE SALAD
 
1 can French style green beans
1 can LeSeuer green peas
1 can white corn
4 oz. jar chopped pimiento
1 c. diced celery
1 c. chopped green pepper
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/2 - 3/4 c. sugar
1/2 - 3/4 c. vinegar
1 tbsp. water
1/2 c. cooking oil
1 tbsp. salt
1 tbsp. pepper

Drain green beans, peas, corn and pimiento. Mix with celery, green pepper and onions. Boil sugar, vinegar, water, cooking oil, salt and pepper. Pour over vegetables and marinate in refrigerator 7 to 8 hours or overnight. Caution: Family members not getting their fair share have been known to become cranky and irritable.
