1 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. salad oil
1 tsp. celery seed
1 tsp. minced onion
1/2 c. cider vinegar

Mix all together; bring to boil and pour over shredded cabbage. Will keep up to 9 days in ice box.
