FISH FRANCAIS 
1 lb. white fish
Salt
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. sliced fresh mushrooms
1/2 c. sour cream
2 tbsp. sherry
Paprika

Sprinkle fish with salt; place in greased, shallow baking dish. Bake at 425 degrees for 5 minutes. Saute mushrooms in butter until lightly browned. Remove from heat; add sour cream and sherry. Spoon sauce over halibut. Sprinkle with paprika. Return to oven and bake at 375 degrees allowing a total of 10 minutes cooking time per inch of thickness of steak or until fish flakes easily when tested with a fork. Serves 3 to 4.

MICROWAVE INSTRUCTIONS: Sprinkle with salt; place in greased, shallow microwave proof baking dish. Microwave at high 2 minutes. Place butter in 2 cup microwave proof baking dish. Microwave at high 15 seconds. Toss mushrooms in butter; microwave at high 30 seconds. Stir in sour cream and sherry; spoon over fish. Sprinkle with paprika. Microwave at high 2 minutes or until fish flakes easily when tested with a fork.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
