PEPPERMINT BROWNIES | |
Step 1: 1 stick butter 16 oz. can Hershey's syrup 4 eggs 1/2 tsp. salt 1 c. sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 1 c. flour Step 2: 1 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1/3 c. flour 1 c. butter 1 c. milk 1/2 tsp. peppermint extract few drops green food coloring Step 1: Combine all ingredients and pour into a jelly roll pan. Bake at 350°F for 20 to 25 minutes. Cool completely. Step 2: In a heavy bottom pan, bring to a boil flour and milk; cook over low heat until thick. Stir constantly so it doesn't scorch. Cool completely. Stir together sugar, butter, peppermint extract, vanilla and a few drops food coloring (a little goes a long way). Add flour mixture gradually to sugar mixture in small amounts, beating constantly until the consistency resembles whipped cream. Spread over brownies and refrigerate. Melt 2/3 cup chocolate chips with 2/3 cup butter. Mix well and spread over brownies while chocolate is still warm. Refrigerate until serving time. |
