1/2 c. shortening
1 egg
1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. peanut butter
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 3/4 c. flour

Cream all ingredients. Add flour and soda mixture. Roll into balls and dunk in sugar.

Bake at 375°F for 8 minutes. Press stars into cookies and return to oven for 3 minutes more.
