CRANBERRY BREAD 
1/2 c. shortening or butter, softened
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
5 tbsp. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. nuts
1 c. raw cranberries, each cut in half

Mix in order given. Pour into 2 loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until wooden pick comes out clean.
