1 1/2 lbs. beef liver, ground coarsely (raw)

Put into a bowl.

Add:

Saute in butter:

Put into bowl with liver mixture.

Add 1 1/4 cups bread crumbs and 5 tablespoons flour to thicken, salt and pepper to taste - mix together.

After reviewing all the posted recipes for liver dumplings I notice the glaring absence of one very important spice, namely "majoram". I grew up eating this soup and this addition makes all the difference..
