JOHN'S CHICKEN LIVERS | |
3-4 med. size onions 12-14 chicken livers 4-5 strips bacon 1/2 c. sherry Salt and pepper to taste Slice onions 1/4 inch thick and arrange in a flat baking dish, 3 quart size or larger. On top of each onion place 1-2 chicken livers, salt, and pepper lightly. Cut strips of bacon in 4 pieces, cover each liver with bacon. Pour sherry over all. Bake at 325 degrees until bacon begins to crisp. Baste with drippings, about 45 minutes. Take up with a spatula. |
