CHOCOLATE ICE BOX CAKE | |
2 bars sweet chocolate (8 oz. German sweet) 3 tbsp. sugar 3 tbsp. water 4 egg yolks 2 pkgs. Lady Fingers (split open) 1/8 tsp. salt Cook over double boiler: chocolate, sugar, water. When melted add one egg yolk at a time, mixing well. Refrigerate until cool. Whip: salt and egg whites to a peak. Mix into chocolate mixture by hand. Layer: Open Lady Fingers, place a layer in pan, pour half of chocolate mixture, repeat. Refrigerate. Whip cream is wonderful on top. |
