MARINATED ROAST 
1 chuck steak, about 3 lb.
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. onion powder
2 tsp. thyme, optional
1 tsp. marjoram, optional
1 bay leaf, crushed
1 c. wine vinegar
3 tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 c. salad oil
1 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. garlic powder

Blend seasonings with wine vinegar, lemon juice and salad oil. Pour over and around meat. Let stand 6 hours, turning every hour to marinate well.

Grill to a rich brown on rack, set about 6 inches above hot coals. Turn and grill until meat is done as you like it. 15 minutes on each side for rare.
