DANISH PUFF PASTRY 
1 c. flour
1/2 c. butter
2 tbsp. water
1 3/4-2 c. powdered sugar
1/4 c. butter
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. vanilla
2-3 tbsp. milk
1/2 c. butter
1 c. water
1 tbsp. almond flavoring
1 c. flour
3 eggs

Measure 1 cup flour in bowl. Cut in butter, sprinkle 2 tablespoons water and mix with fork. Round into a ball and divide in half. Pat dough with hands into 2 long strips 12 x 3 inches.

Beat in 2nd bowl, powdered sugar, butter, salt, vanilla and milk. Mix well and set aside.

In saucepan, mix butter and water, bring to a rolling boil. Add flavoring. Remove from heat. Immediately stir in flour. When smooth and thick, add eggs one at a time. Beat until smooth. Put 1/2 of mixture on each strip, spread to cover. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees. Cool. Spread icing on pastry.
