HERB ROAST TURKEY 
1 c. chicken broth
3 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. dried basil leaves, crushed
1 tsp. dried thyme leaves, crushed
1/8 tsp. pepper
12-14 lb. turkey
Slow-Roasted Turkey Gravy

Mix broth, lemon juice, basil, thyme, and pepper. Roast turkey according to pkg. directions, basting with broth mixture. Discard any remaining broth mixture.

Slow-Roasted Turkey Gravy: Remove turkey from roasting pan. Pour of fat. Mix 1 can chicken broth with 3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour in a roasting pan. Cook until mixture boils and thickens, stirring.

Makes 1 3/4 cups.

Why on earth would you discard the broth from the roasting pan, and then substitute regular chicken stock?? Talk about throwing out flavor for no apparent reason????
