BEEF AND NOODLE CASSEROLE 
1 (8 oz.) pkg. egg noodles
1 pkg. dried sour cream sauce
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/4 tsp. crushed thyme
1/4 tsp. salt, optional
Dash of pepper
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 c. milk
2 tbsp. melted butter
1 c. soft bread crumbs
1/2 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese

Cook noodles as directed. Prepare sour cream as directed. Combine noodles and sour cream sauce. Lightly brown meat and onions, drain off excess fat. Stir in soup, milk and seasonings. Add noodle mixture.

Turn into 10 x 6 x 1 1/2 inch greased baking dish. Combine butter and crumbs; sprinkle over noodle mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake 5 more minutes. Serves 6 to 8.
