MOM'S PICANTE STEAK 
2 lg. round steaks
Garlic salt to taste
Pepper to taste
2 onions, sliced
1 lg. can diced green chiles
1 lg. jar Pace mild or med. hot picante sauce
1 c. grated cheese
1 (1 lb.) can whole tomatoes

Cut meat into individual serving-size pieces. Season to taste with garlic and pepper. Smother meat with onion slices, green chile, picante sauce and tomatoes. Cover with foil very tightly. Bake at 325 degrees for 2-3 hours. Just before serving, add cheese.
