PRUNELLA CAKE 
1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
2 2/3 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. allspice
1 1/3 c. buttermilk
1 1/3 c. chopped, cooked prunes

Cream together butter, sugar and eggs. Sift together flour, salt, soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice. Add flour mixture alternately with buttermilk to egg mixture. Then add prunes. Pour into greased, floured pans and bake at 325°F until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean (start checking at the 35 minute mark). Cool. Stack with a filling.

FILLING:

4 tbsp. butter
1 box (approximately) powdered sugar
6 tbsp. prune juice
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. allspice
