1 box yellow cake mix
1/2 c. self-rising flour
1/2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. vegetable oil
1/2 c. Crisco
1 1/2 c. milk or water

Mix cake mix, flour and sugar together with eggs, oil, shortening, milk or water and vanilla. Beat until well blended, but do not overbeat. Make 3 layers and bake in 350 degree oven for 25 minutes.
