CRUNCHY OATMEAL COOKIES 
1 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs, beaten
2 1/2 c. quick oatmeal
1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. nuts and raisins

Place shortening, sugar, vanilla, and eggs in bowl and beat thoroughly. Sift flour, soda, salt, and cinnamon together. Add to first mixture and mix well. Fold in oatmeal, nuts, and raisins. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until they begin to look slightly golden.

I added flour and used light butter. They kind of fell apart maybe that is why?
