Peel from 1 med. orange 1/4 lb. black tea 2 tbsp. whole cloves With a sharp knife cut peel from orange, being careful not to take too much of the white pulp. Dry in a 200 degree oven 45 to 60 minutes or in a microwave 2 to 3 minutes on high. Let cool and then break into small pieces. Pour tea into gift containers with a tight fitting lid, add cloves and orange peel and mix well. Store in the tightly covered container. Shelf life 6 months. LEMON MINT TEA: Dry peel from one lemon as above. Add to 1/4 pound tea leaves with 4 tablespoons dried mint leaves. Mix well. Store in covered container. LEMON ALLSPICE TEA: Prepare lemon peel as directed above. Add to 1/4 pound tea leaves with 1 tablespoon allspice. Mix well. Store in a tightly covered container. ANISE CLOVE TEA: Mix 1 tablespoon each whole cloves and aniseed with 1/4 pound tea leaves. Mix well. Store in tightly covered container. |
