FRESH APPLE PIE 
1 packet pie crust mix
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Dash of salt
6 lg. Granny Smith apples (sliced about 5 c. apples)
2 tbsp. butter

Heat oven to 425 degrees. Prepare pie crust per instructions on pie crust box. Stir together sugar, flour, nutmeg, cinnamon and salt. Mix lightly with apples. Pour into pastry-lined pie pan. Pat with butter. Cover with top crust, cut slits in it, seal edges. Cover edge with 2-3 inch strip of aluminum foil to keep from excessive browning. Remove foil last 15 minutes of baking. Bake 40-50 minutes or until crust is brown and juice begins to bubble through slits in crust. Serve warm.
