FRESH APPLE PIE CAKE 
6 to 8 apples (4 to 6 c. sliced)
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. flour
1 c. sugar
3/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 egg
1/2 c. milk
3 tbsp. water
1/2 c. melted butter

Peel and slice thinly apples into 9 inch deep pie pan. Mix 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over apples. Sift flour, 1 cup sugar, baking powder and salt into bowl and add milk, egg, water and melted butter. Mix until smooth and pour over apples. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
