1 c. butter
1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. brown sugar
3 egg yolks
2 slightly beaten egg whites
3 c. flour
2 c. walnuts, chopped very fine

Cream first 4 ingredients; add flour. shape into balls (1 inch in diameter) and dip tops into egg white, then nuts. Set on ungreased cookie sheets; press centers. Bake at 350 degrees for 5 minutes. Remove, press centers again very lightly, and bake 5 minutes more. Fill with raspberry jam just before serving.
