COUNTRY HAMBURGER PIE 
1 lb. hamburger
1/2 c. bread crumbs
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. tomato sauce
1 1/3 c. rice
1 c. grated cheese

Combine first three ingredients with one teaspoon salt and one cup tomato sauce in bowl; mix well. Place into 9" pie plate.

Combine rice, cheese, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1 cup water and remaining 1 1/2 cups tomato sauce in bowl; mix well. Put into pie plate. Bake, covered at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Sprinkle additional cheese over top. Bake, uncovered for 10 to 15 minutes longer, until cheese melts. Serve while hot. Serves 4.
