1 sm. pkg. strawberry Jello
2 c. water
1 1/2 c. sugar
6 drops food color
2 qts. fresh strawberries
1 baked deep dish pie shell
2 tbsp. cornstarch

Mix 1 cup water and sugar in small pan, add food coloring and bring to boil. Mix remaining water and 2 tablespoons cornstarch. Add sugar mixture. Cook until thickened, remove from stove, add Jello. Place strawberries, sliced, in bottom of pie shell. Pour syrup over top. Refrigerate.
