BREAD PUDDING WHISKEY SAUCE 
6 to 8 c. any type bread
4 c. milk
2 c. sugar
8 tbsp. butter, melted
3 eggs
2 tbsp. vanilla
1 c. raisins
1 c. chopped pecans
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg

Combine all ingredients. Pour into buttered 9 x 9 baking dish. Cook at 350 degrees about 1 hour and 15 minutes until golden brown. Serve warm with sauce. Any fruits may be used in place of raisins.

WHISKEY SAUCE:

1 stick butter
1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 egg
1/2 c. bourbon

Cream butter and sugar over medium heat until butter is absorbed. Remove and blend egg, adding bourbon gradually stirring constantly. Sauce thickens as it cools. Serve warm over pudding. For a variety of sauces, just substitute your favorite fruit juice or liqueur to compliment your bread pudding.
