BUTTER CRUMSHUS CAKE 
CRUMB MIXTURE:

1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. light brown sugar

Mix until crumbly; set aside.

CAKE INGREDIENTS:

2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 1/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. milk

Grease bottom only of a 13"x9"x2" baking pan. Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt; set aside.

Cream butter and cheese together well; gradually beat in sugar, blending well. Blend in eggs and vanilla, beating well. Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk; blend well after each addition. Pour batter into prepared pan and sprinkle crumb mixture evenly over top; press down lightly. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes. Cool in pan; cut into squares to serve.
