COOKED CHOCOLATE FROSTING 
Next time you have a hankering for a rich dark chocolate frosting try this it's easy as pie and every bit as good.

1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 oz. squares unsweetened chocolate
1/2 c. milk
1 3/4 c. sugar
1 tbsp. corn syrup
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine butter and chocolate; cook over low heat until chocolate melts; add milk, sugar and corn syrup; bring to boil; boil 2 minutes; remove from heat and cool for 5 minutes; add vanilla and beat with electric mixer on high 10 minutes or until mixture reaches spreading consistency.
