COOKED CHOCOLATE FROSTING 
1/4 c. cocoa
2 tbsp. cornstarch or flour
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. butter
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix first 3 ingredients together, then add butter, milk, and vanilla. Cook on low heat, stirring constantly, until it starts to thicken. Pour on cake and even out with a knife.

I wanted a pourable chocolate frosting recipe to top a Boston cream pie poke cake I was making and discovered this. What a delicious discovery. Very chocolate-y and smooth. Poured like a dream, but sets up fast so have all your utensils and cake ready. Any remaining swirls in the pot were goggled--tasted like a nice chocolate pudding. We're looking forward to our cake.
