POUND CAKE COOKIES | |
3 sticks butter, room temp. (do NOT substitute butter) 1 c. sugar 2 egg yolks 3 c. plain flour, sifted 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring Strawberry jam or pecan halves Cream butter and sugar. Add egg yolks. Blend flour into butter mixture. Add flavoring. Refrigerate dough until thoroughly chilled. Form small ball about size of quarter and press onto ungreased cookie sheet. Using thumb, press indentation in top of each cookie and fill with jam or pecan halves. Bake 12 minutes at 300 degrees or until lightly browned. Cool cookies on pan before removing. Store in airtight container. Yields: 6-7 dozen. |
