1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1 well beaten egg
1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 sm. chopped onion

DRESSING FROM SCRATCH:

1/4 lb. butter, melted
1/2 sm. loaf of bread (sm. cubes)
1 tbsp. onion

Brown and use for any filling.

Mix ground beef, egg, milk, salt, pepper and onion; spread half of well mixed mixture into a greased baking dish, then place thick layer of dressing. Then spread balance of meat mixture over top of dressing. Bake at 400 degrees for 45 minutes (I prefer 350 degrees).
