3/4 c. milk
3 tbsp. flour
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
6 tbsp. shortening
6 tbsp. butter
3/4 c. white sugar

Cook milk and flour together. Remove from heat and add vanilla; cool. Beat together remaining ingredients until creamy. Add to cooled mixture and spread.
