SQUASH AND APPLE BAKE 
2 lb. buttered or buttercup squash
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1/4 c. melted butter
1 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. mace
2 baking apples, cored and cut into 1/2 inch slices

Prepare squash and cut into slices 1 inch thick. Mix butter, flour, salt, and mace. Place squash first, then apples in baking dish. Drizzle sugar mixture over squash and apples. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or so.
