CARAMEL CHOCOLATE SQUARES 
14 oz. pkg. caramels
1/3 c. evaporated milk
1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
3/4 c. melted butter
1/3 c. evaporated milk
1 c. chopped nuts
6-12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips

1. In saucepan, combine caramels and 1/3 cup evaporated milk. Cook and stir on slow heat until melted.

2. Grease and flour 9 x 13 inch pan.

3. Mix dry cake mix, butter, 1/3 cup evaporated milk and nuts.

4. Press 1/2 dough into 9 x 13 inch pan and bake 6 minutes at 350 degrees.

5. Sprinkle chocolate chips over crust and then spread caramels.

6. Sprinkle reserved dough over caramels.

7. Bake 15-18 minutes at 350 degrees.

8. Cool.

9. Refrigerate.
