CARAMEL LAYER CHOCOLATE SQUARES 
14 oz. light caramels (approx. 50)
1/3 c. evaporated milk
1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
1 tbsp. water
1/2 c. butter
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Grease and flour 9 x 13 inch pan. Combine caramels and milk, cook until melted. Keep warm. Combine remainder of ingredients except chocolate chips. Stir with fork until crumbly. Press 1/2 of dough in pan and bake at 350 degrees for 6 minutes. Spread caramel mix over top and put reserve topping over mixture. Sprinkle chocolate chips over top. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Cool completely.
