APPLE PIE
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 tbsp. flour
6 lg. Granny Smith apples, peeled and sliced
2 tbsp. butter, in bits
2 pie crusts

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Roll out and line a 9-inch pie pan with pie crust. Prick well with fork.

Mix together the sugar, cinnamon and flour. Layer apples, cinnamon-sugar mixture and then bits of butter. Repeat layering until apples cannot be piled higher. Top with pie crust, make steam vents, and sprinkle with additional sugar and cinnamon. Place pie in oven and reduce heat to 350 degrees. Bake for 1 hour or until apples are soft when pierced with a knife.
