CANDIED YAMS 
3/4 c. brown sugar
3 lg. sweet potatoes
1/2 stick butter
2 tsp. lemon juice
3 tbsp. nutmeg
2 tbsp. cinnamon

Slice sweet potatoes. Prepare pan. Add water, nutmeg, brown sugar and cinnamon; bring to a boil. Place sweet potatoes in boiling water; cook on high about 15-20 minutes. Add butter and lemon flavor; check potatoes for tenderness. Continue to cook at a reduced temperature for about 10-15 minutes or until the juice becomes syrupy.
