GROUND BEEF REUBANS 
1/2 lb. ground beef
2 tbsp. chopped onion
1/3 c. Thousand Island salad dressing
12 slices pumpernickel bread
3/4 c. drained sauerkraut, snipped
6 slices Swiss cheese
6 tbsp. butter, softened

In a skillet brown the meat with onion and drain. Stir in salad dressing and spread mixture on 6 bread slices. Top with 2 tablespoons sauerkraut, one slice of cheese and then the remaining bread. Butter the tops and bottoms of the sandwiches and grill on both sides until the cheese melts.
