JAMBALAYA 
2 tbsp. butter
1/4 c. chopped onion
1/4 c. diced green pepper
1 lb. ground beef
1 can tomatoes
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. thyme
1 sm. bay leaf
1 1/3 c. precooked rice

Brown beef, onion, green pepper, drained tomatoes. Adding water to juice to make 1 1/2 cup, add liquid, tomatoes, salt, sugar, thyme and bay leaf. Simmer 5 minutes. Stir in rice and simmer until flavors blend.
