APPLE DUMPLINGS 
1 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. lard
1 tbsp. butter
7/8 c. sweet milk
Apples, 1-2 c.
Cinnamon

SAUCE:

1 c. sugar
1 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. hot water
Flavor with cinnamon

Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Work into this lard, butter. Add sweet milk and mix well. Roll to 1/4 inch thick. Spread with melted butter, brown sugar and chopped apples. Sprinkle with cinnamon.

Roll and cut into slices 1 1/2 inches thick. Place in pan as you would cinnamon rolls. Cover with sauce. Bake in moderate oven. Serve with sweet cream or the sauce in which they are baked.
