WINGARD GRITS MIXED BREAD 
1 c. cooked grits
1 pkg. yeast
2 tbsp. sugar
2 c. lukewarm water
2 tsp. salt
4 c. all-purpose flour (plain)
2 tbsp. Crisco shortening

Dissolve yeast in water with salt and sugar. Mix all ingredients, adding flour to make dough stiff. Knead and place in covered bowl (overnight) or allow it to double in bulk. Form into 2 loaves. Place in greased loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Brush with butter after loaves come out of oven. Tastes great hot! Makes a great breakfast bread for toast.
