DUMP CAKE 
1 can pie filling (any kind)
1 can crushed pineapple
1 box cake mix (any kind)
1 stick butter
1 c. chopped nuts

Grease a 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Spread pie filling evenly in bottom. Sprinkle pineapple and juice over pie filling, cover with cake mix. Place pats of butter here and there on top of cake mix. Sprinkle nuts on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

TIPS: Fresh fruit may also be used. For tart fruits sweeten to taste and add a little extra butter to help control tartness. For extra sweet fruits add no more than a tablespoon lemon juice to perk up the flavor. With this recipe the only limit of combinations are our own imaginations.
