DATE NUT STUFFED CHEESE BALLS 
1 lb. pitted dates
2 c. shredded cheese
1/2 c. butter, softened
1 c. self-rising flour
1 tsp. paprika
48 pecan halves

Stuff 1/2 pecan in each date. Combine cheese and butter, blend well. Stir in flour and paprika; mix well. Chill dough for 15 minutes. Put one (1) tsp. dough around each date to form a ball. Place balls two (2) inches apart on lightly greased baking sheet.

Bake in a 400°F oven for 15 minutes.

Yields four (4) dozen.
