CORN PONE PIE 
1 lb. ground beef
1 lg. onion, chopped
1 can kidney beans, drained
1 sm. can whole kernel corn
2 cans tomato sauce
1 tsp. chili powder
1 envelope corn bread mix

Prepare corn bread batter as directed on package. Brown beef and onion; drain. Add kidney beans, corn, tomato sauce and chili powder to beef and mix well. Pour mixture into a baking dish and bake for 10 minutes at 400 degrees.

Remove from oven and pour corn bread batter over top, spreading well. Return to oven and bake until corn bread is golden brown, about 30 to 40 minutes. Serve with tossed salad.
