TORTELLINI WITH MARINARA SAUCE | |
1/2 c. chopped onion 1 crushed garlic clove 2 tbsp. olive oil 1 3/4 c. (14 1/2 oz. can) Contadina whole peeled tomatoes and juice 1 c. (8 oz. can) tomato sauce 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. dried basil leaves 1/2 tsp. dried oregano leaves 1 lb. tortellini (buy at grocery store) Saute onion and garlic in oil. Cut up tomatoes and juice, tomato sauce, salt, basil and oregano. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat and cook uncovered, stirring occasionally, 15 minutes. Cook tortellini according to package. Drain. Pour sauce over. Put Parmesan cheese on. |
