SOURDOUGH BISCUITS 
1 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/3 c. shortening
1 c. Herman Starter

Mix dry ingredients. Cut in shortening. Add starter. Turn onto floured surface, and knead lightly. Shape and bake in greased pan at 400 degrees for 10-15 minutes. Makes 1 to 1 1/2 dozen.
