SNICKER CAKE | |
1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix 1 pkg. Kraft caramels 1 stick butter 1/3 c. milk 3/4 c. chocolate chips 1 c. chopped nuts Prepare cake using package directions. Pour 1/2 the batter into a greased 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Melt caramels with butter and milk in a saucepan over low heat, stirring frequently. Pour over baked cake. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and nuts. Spoon remaining cake batter over caramel layer. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Increase temperature to 350 degrees, and bake for 10 minutes. Cool and frost. FROSTING: 8 oz. cream cheese, softened 1 box powdered sugar 1/2 stick butter 2 tsp. almond or vanilla flavoring Mix all ingredients and frost cake. |
