DANISH PUFF 
PART I:

1 c. sifted flour
1/2 c. butter
2 tbsp. water

PART II:

1/2 c. butter
1 c. water
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sifted flour
3 eggs

PART III ICING:

2 c. confectioners sugar
1/4 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. milk

PART I: Put flour in bowl and cut butter in with pastry blender. Sprinkle water over mixture and mix with fork. Divide in half. Pat dough with hands into 2 long strips. Place 3 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.

PART II: Mix butter and water in saucepan and bring to a boiling roll, add vanilla and remove from heat. Stir in flour all at once, stirring rapidly. When smooth, cool slightly. Beat in each egg, one at a time, until smooth. Divide in half and spread over each long strip evenly. Bake 1 hour or until top is crisp and brown at 350 degrees.

PART III: Mix sugar, butter, vanilla and milk; beat well. As soon as puff is taken from oven, spread icing over pastry while on baking sheet. Sprinkle with nuts or cake decoration if desired. Cut into strips.
